Hong Kong leader 'to step down'

Local media say Hong Kong's unpopular leader Tung Chee-hwa is to quit, citing ill health, but officials stay silent.

Something to watch closely. I see Hong Kong as the thermometer of the direction that China's emancipation policies are going. If there was a change of chief executive, it would signal a victory of the people of Hing Kong, as Tung Chee-hwa was increasingly unpopular. And that would be a good sign, in my opinion, that China is going ahead - at its own excruciatingly slow pace - with poliical reforms. I wonder...
