Togo: Faure 'abdicates'... for now

Hurray!!!!! Victory !!!!!.... Well, for now at least. As I said in a previous post, it's about time our African leaders understood that recess time is over. Africa is the one continent on the planet that has actually regressed in all domains, and it is time to work on turning the tide forward. On a connected note, this crisis in Togo was a real test case for the Arican Union, and ECOWAS, and they have really stepped up to the task. But this was Togo. What if, God forbid, the next country to shake is Nigeria, Lybia, or Angola, with their lage, quite well armed and trained military? Will the AU and (its commisions's President Alhpa Oumar) Konare be able to do the same thing then? I wonder...

Victoire!!!... Du moins pour l'instant. Comme je l'ai dit plus tot, il est temps que nos dirigeants africains realisent que la recreation est terminée. L'Afrique est le seul continent avoir fait une progression negative sur tous les domaines, et il est temps de s'atteler a renverser la situation. Sur ce sujet, cette crise au Togo etait un veritable test des nouveaux attributs de l'Union Africaine, et de la CEDEAO; et bien heureusement, ils se sont montrés a la hauteur de la tache. Ceci dit, c'etait le Togo. Qu'adviendrait-il si, Dieu nous en garde, le prochain pays a s'animer se trouvait etre le Nigeria, la Libye ou l'Angola, avec leurs imposantes forces armées disciplinées, bien armées et entrainées? L'UA et (le President de sa comission Alpha Oumar) Konare pourraient-ils repeter cette explot? Je suis perplexe...
