Togo Update: one month to elections!

Togo election set for next month

Presidential polls will be held in Togo on 24 April, election officials say, after a month of turmoil following the death of President Gnassingbe Eyadema.
Opposition parties have agreed to contest the poll despite rules which bar their main candidate from standing.

Don't be fooled. It's very easy to organise elections. It's also easier to win when you are organising them (especially in Africa). Since the constitution is in his favour I wouldn't be surprised to see Faure or anyone from his entourage back in power. I think he knows what he's doing. I'll have hope for Togo when an uncorrupted opposition leader will win.
